To Kill a Mockingbird

Hello, so I haven't posted in a while, and I decided that I want to continue writing about these wonderful classics. There is this book that I absolutely love. It's To Kill a Mockingbird. To Kill a Mocking bird is such an amazing book by Harper Lee. It describes all the good and evil in the world, and how some outcomes will be prejudice. If you'll have not read To Kill a Mockingbird  yet, I really recommend it. It's a fantastic read, and you will most likely enjoy it. With Atticus explaining different life lessons to Jem and Scout, it creates one of the best classic novels.

Harry Potter

Hello, so this weeks blog is about Harry Potter, the best book and movie series ever! The wonderful series of Harry Potter was written by J.K. Rowling. "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" was written in 1997. The next "Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets" was written a year later in 1998. As for the next 2 books, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire", the were year written year after year. It took a little longer for the next 3 books. Which were "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", and the last book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

(below picture is of J.K. Rowling taken from http://www.techinsider.io)

Harry Potter is one of my favorite book and movie series. The books are just so amazing and fun to read. I never get tired of reading these incredible books. The action paced mystery of Harry and his friend's adventures are just so breath taking. The reality of it all, when nothing is real just amazes me. The mystical events that happen in Hogwarts is so imaginative. I will always love these books.

My Cruise experience part 3

Hello, so the last two blogs have been about my last cruise and this is the last blog about the cruise. So on my cruise we went to St. Thomas, Tortola, and Nassau. In St. Thomas I went snorkeling. In Tortola I went ziplining. In Nassau I went to Atlantis. In each of those places I went on shore and had an amazing time and experience.
(Sunset leaving Tortola)

When I went snorkeling in St. Thomas I saw lots of fish, turtles, and coral. The excursion I went on was "Captain Nautica." It was a snorkeling adventure. The first cove we went to was turtle cove. We saw lots of turtles and fish. The second cove we went to had a shipwreck. My dad and I decided to swim over to the shipwreck. It was really cool to see. You could see the two engines through the hole in the middle of that section of the ship. Then we went back to the shore and got back on the ship.

The next day in Tortola my dad and I went ziplining. It was an interesting adventure driving up to the zip lines. Once we where at the top of the hill about to go zip lining it was so pretty. The view overlooked the green hills and the port with all the huge cruise ships. The zip lines were ok. The zip lines in Belize are a lot better. Anyway it had an amazing view.
(Paradise Island)

A couple days later in Nassau, I went to Atlantiis with my dad. We took a tour, we didn't go to the water park. The tour took us underground where they created this fantasy where in every window it showed the different aquatic animals living there. Near the end of the tour they took us under a giant plexi-glass tunnel where you would look up and there would be animals swimming right over top of you.  It was so beautiful there at the Atlantis Hotel.

My Cruise Friends

So my last blog was about my cruise a couple weeks ago. I am going to be continuing that blog with this one. So on the cruise I met some truly amazing people. We all met in different areas on the ship. The first person I met was Lorelle I met her because of my dad. He decided to talk to Lorelles parents on the first day because of a soccer. The second peron I met was Oliva. She was in the cabin next to mine. We met on the balcony one evening and decided to go to Entourage the teens area.
Later that day I met Olivas friends Peyton and Chandler. They go to her school where she had lived, so we hang out for the rest of the day at Entourage. We met Ashley, Abby, Jamie, and Riley there. All at different times though. Ashely had known my friend Lorelle so we just kinda hung out with her. I met Jamie because of Lorelle too. They both had British accents so they became instant friends. I met Abby playing Foosball. When we all met each other the craziness began.
(I'm this photo
Left: Chandler, Oliva, Peyton, and me)

We played mini golf backwards ( that was interesting), we talked, played Foosball, air hockey, danced, and ran around. We met lots of other people, did scavenger hunts, and interesting games. On shore we rarely saw each other. While on board we hung out every day. One time me, Jamie, and Abby decided to get ice cream. When we got the ice cream, Jamie decided to grab my phone and take random photos.
That was the least blurry photo he took. I had an awesome time and we still talk today.

Norwegian Escape Cruise, part 1

So last week I went on a cruise. I went on Norwegians newest and biggest ship. I went to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, and Nassau, Bahamas. I did many different events on board and off. I met some really amazing and nice people. I also had the best time.
In this picture it shows the ships rope's course, one waterslide, the logo, and some cabins.

On the ship there was so many things to do. The ship has 28 restaurants, a three story chandelier, a theatre, all that and more inside, there's outside too. There was three waterslides, entourage (teens club), mini golf, shuffleboard, swimming, eating, ropes course, ping pong, sports, and hunts. Sadly with being in port for three out of seven days, you only got to do a limited amount of things. I got to go on the ropes course which was amazing. It consisted of zip line, all the plank, walking 20 stories high on a rope, and many challenging obstacles.

I really enjoyed this cruise, and had a awesome time doing everything. I can't wait for the next one!

Happy Days

Hello everyone, this blogs theme is Happy Days. Happy day was created by Garry Marshall.  This tv show won three Golden Globes, and many other awards. This is one of the funniest classic sitcoms I know. It stars Henry Winkler as Arthur Fonzarelli a.k.a. Fonzie. Erin Moran as Joanie, Anson Williams as Potsie, Ron Howard as Richie, and Scott Baio as Chachi. It first aired in 1974 and went on till 1984.
www.imdb.com

This classic tv show was about the Cunninghams and their friends. The Cunninghams consisted of Richie (older brother), Joanie (younger sister), Marion (Mom), and Howard (dad). Fonzie was one of Richie’s close friends, as is Potsie. Chachi is Joanie’s boyfriend in the show. After a couple seasons Richie leaves and goes to the army, while missing his girlfriend, soon to be wife. We are later introduced Joanie and Richie’s cousin who becomes a P.E. teacher at the local High School.

Fonzie is the cool guy who attracts all the girls. Potsie is an amazing singer who is Richie’s friend. Joanie is a smart, pretty, cheerleader. Chachi works Al who owns a popular ‘hangout’ diner place, where Potsie sings. Along the way they all encounter new friends and problems. This sitcom is an amazing classic and a really good show.

Hogan's Hero's

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog! So this blog is going to be about Hogans Heros. This classic is about prisoners in a P.O.W. camp. It takes place in Germany during World War 1. There are three American prisoners, one British, and one French. The p.o.w. groups leader is Colonel Hogan, one of the Americans. He is the senior prisoner of war officer. Which means he gets to talk to Colonel Klink, which is the commandant of Stalag 13. The other two Americans are Carter and Kinchloe (also known as Kinch).  The British guy is Newkirk, and the French guy is LeBeau. They were captured there on purpose, to help escaped prisoners get back to England. They are constantly in touch with England because of Col. Klinks stupidity. They have several underground tunnels and secret radios. Since Klink has a perfect 'no escape' record, they are frequently being visited by Nazi officers. With Hogans quick wit they always get away with sabotage.
Col. Klink isn't the only guards dealing with Hogan and his group. The other main officer is Sgt. Schultz, he is in charge of all the guards at stalag 13. He is best known for saying "I know nothing!!" whenever he would see Hogan's group doing something mischievous. Often times the Gestapo would think Hogan is up to something ,which he always is, and would try to prove it but would end at a dead end.

Doctor Who Part 2

This is a continuation from my last post on Doctor Who.  In my last blog I told you all about the many different doctors that there has been, and about its history. So in the last portion of that blog it mentions Jenna Coleman as a companion. Many of you might be wondering what a companion is, well a companion is the person who travels with the doctor. The Doctor usually always travels with at least one companion. Sometimes there are two companions or maybe just one for a particular episode.
In the picture above it shows all the Doctors and who each of their companions are. The very top row (from left to right) is all the doctors.  Below each Doctor shows a picture of all the companions he traveled with. In the far right row it shows the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith), he traveled with two companions at once. Those two companions were Amy and Rory. Amy was played by Karen Gillan and was Matt Smith's first companion. Amy's daughter that she had with Rory (Arthur Darvill) is River Song. River Song later becomes the Doctors wife. River is part timelord (which is what the doctor is) because she was born in the TARDIS. Some of my favorite companions are Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), Amy (Karen Gillan), Rory (Arthur Darvill), Clara Oswald (Jenna Louise Coleman), Captin Jack Harkness (John Barrowman), and River Song (Alex Kingston).

The easiest way to understand the complicated show of Doctor Who is to watch it. I have so many favorite episodes. They are all so fantastic and creative. Some of the Doctors lines are so short, but they are the cleverest lines. One of my favorite was the 50th anniversary. When John Hurt, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman, and Billie Piper were all in the same episode together. If you only want to watch one episode I would recommend "The Eleventh Hour" which is Matt Smith's first ever episode. It explains the Doctor so well. If I had to explain the doctor I would say that "he is a very clever/tricky alien, from Gallifrey. He lies a lot, you can never trust him while you can always trust him. He is amazing and so smart. He's the Doctor."

Doctor Who

The longest running sci-fi tv show is Doctor Who. Doctor Who has been on since 1963. Since then there has been around 13 regenerations and 12 doctors. Since David Tennant (the tenth doctor) regenerated twice. Doctor Who is my absolute favorite sci-fi tv show. With all the companions and doctors it is one of the best ever tv programs.

The first ever doctor was played by William Hartnell in 1963. Sadly in 1966 William got really sick and couldn't continue. The directors said that since he was an alien they could have him become a new person or a new actor. This became known as regeneration. Next it was Patrick Troughton from 1966-1969. Jon Pertwee from 1970-1974 as the third doctor. In 1974 Tom Baker became the fourth Doctor, that lasted till 1981. Peter Davison, fifth Doctor, 1982-1984. Colin Baker as the sixth Doctor in 1984-1986. Sylvester McCoy as the seventh Doctor from 1987-1989. In 1996 Paul McGann played the eighth Doctor. Later in 2005 Christopher Eccleston picked up Doctor who as the ninth Doctor. Now David Tennant is the tenth doctor from 2005-2010. Matt Smith became the youngest Doctor in 2010 till 2013 as the eleventh Doctor. Currently Peter Capildi is the Twelfth Doctor from 2013-2016.
Sadly I don't think there will be new season 10 for Doctor who this year. But I do know that it will start again in 2017. Currently Steven Moffat has been the writer for this and he has said that he will retire after season 10 in 2017. So we just lost Jenna Coleman who played as a companion and we're losing Peter Capildi, and now Steven. Wow they sure are replacing lots of people. Anyway Doctor who is an amazing show and o absolutely love it!

Nelle Harper Lee

Hello everyone, so today I was feeling sad about Nelle Harper Lee. She was an amazing writer who lived a good life and tragically died at age 89. She died on February 19, 2016. Harper was most famous for her book “To Kill a Mockingbird.” She published this amazing book on July 11, 1960.  She also wrote “Go Set a Watchman.”

In “To Kill a Mockingbird” the story was written in Scouts perspective. Scout lived with her older brother Jem and her dad, Atticus Finch. Scout and Jem live in a small town so not much happens. The only thing in their town that puzzles them is one of their close neighbors Arthur Radley, who's nickname is Boo. Scout is a tomboy who solves her problems with her fists. Atticus, their father, being a lawyer brings them some interesting encounters. This is one of my all time favorite books. The way it is described is just amazing. Each time I read this book I love it even more.

I Dream of Jeannie

This amazing show was created by Sidney Sheldon in 1965. The show starred Barbara Edon and Larry Hangman. Barbara played the Jeannie who lived in a bottle until Major Nelson, Larry Hangman, found her while he was on one of his astronaut missions. Since she had been in her bottle for so long she was so happy to finally be released. She was so overjoyed that she decided to serve Major Nelson. He had no clue what to do with her and she was so loyal she went with him everywhere.
These two people have crazy adventures. Before Jeannie came along Major Nelson was a normal astronaut. But now it isn't so normal and its a bit chaotic. Trying to keep Jeannie a secret from his boss with help from his friend Major Healy, played by Bill Daily. Jeannie doesn't really know how to fit in to the people world so she is constantly doing out-of-this-world stuff. Like teleporting, traveling though time, making things appear, and many more fascinating things.
